Cookie Policy

This Cookie Policy explains how Futureaiit Consulting Private Limited uses cookies and similar local storage technologies on the Meowdy website. Our mobile applications do not use browser cookies, but use functionally equivalent secure on-device storage for the same purposes described below (session identifiers and preferences); references to "cookies" in this Policy should be read to include that on-device storage where the context is the mobile app.

This Policy should be read together with our Privacy Policy.

These are required for the Service to function and cannot be switched off. They include:

cr_token - a secure, httpOnly authentication cookie that keeps you signed in to your account. It cannot be read by JavaScript and is only sent to our own servers.

chat_session_id (browser local storage) - a temporary identifier for your anonymous chat session, used so the Service can recognize you across page loads without requiring an account.

chat_age_gate (browser local storage) - records that you have confirmed you are 18 or older, so you are not asked again on every visit. This is a client-side convenience only; it is not, on its own, proof of age. See our Terms of Service regarding age eligibility.

These remember choices you've made so you don't have to reset them every visit:

chat_theme - your light/dark display theme preference.

chat_intent - your last-selected matching "intent" filter (e.g., friendship, networking).

chat_distance - your last-selected Nearby Matching distance radius, if you are a Premium subscriber.

sidebar_state - remembers whether a collapsible navigation panel is expanded or collapsed.

We do not currently use third-party advertising cookies, cross-site tracking pixels, or third-party analytics cookies. If this changes in the future, we will update this Policy and, where required by applicable law, request your consent before deploying any new non-essential cookie or tracking technology.

If you use the optional Nearby Matching feature, your device makes a direct request to a third-party mapping service (OpenStreetMap Nominatim) to translate coordinates into a place name; that service may set its own cookies or apply its own tracking practices, governed by its own policy, not this one. Similarly, our payment processors (Stripe and Razorpay) may set their own cookies during checkout, governed by their own cookie and privacy policies.

Most browsers let you block or delete cookies through their settings. Because the cookies and local storage items described in Section 2 are strictly necessary, blocking them will prevent you from signing in or using core features of the Service. Clearing your browser's local storage will also reset your age verification and require you to confirm your age again on your next visit.
